We love to support our local authors and our events allow us to give something back to the community as well. We offer book signings, talks, readings, writing workshops, and meals with an author—often accompanied with a slide show.

More than just medical mystery, The Price of Death delivers an illustration about what is wrong with our health care system!

S.J. Robinson

Mystery author S.J. Robinson joins ABFAS on Sunday, September 28th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM for her debut book release, The Price of Death.

Is this a novel or one of those boring political action books? It's a novel with all the corporate greed, personal intrigue, and (yes) even sex that you expect in a feel-good, easy-read. Information doesn't have to be delivered in a boring package.

But more than just enjoyment from reading, The Price of Death delivers an illustration about what is wrong with our health care system so that you can tell Washington how you want it fixed.

The Price of Death

An apparently healthy, 40-year-old CPA dies in the emergency room of a Seattle hospital under mysterious circumstances. Is he one of the more than 98,000 deaths from medical mistakes occurring in the US each year? His widow hires medical malpractice attorney Jessica Lamm to find out.

Jess endures harassment, risk of financial ruin, and a rattlesnake attack to prove the cause of the untimely death. The battle also brings a remarkable man into the lives of Jess and her cat Reesa, or is he what he seems?

See the twist of fate that brings this matter to a conclusion.

S. J. Robinson is a former nurse and lawyer who has dealt with the consolidation of important services into big business over the last thirty years. She graduated with honors from both nursing school and law school. She practiced as a nurse for five years prior to attending law school, worked as a nurse while putting herself through law school, and worked as an attorney for twenty-five years dealing with medical malpractice, insurance companies, and other large corporate entities.
